Spatial Analysis of the Impact of Commercial Tourism on Sustainable Development of Rural Areas (Case Study: Dehshikh â Cigar Business Area on Lamerd County)

Abstract

The present study seeks to evaluate the spatial indicators of sustainable development of rural settlements in the Dehshikh-Cigar commercial area, Lamerd city, Fars province. This research is descriptive-analytical, The statistical population of the study includes all villagers living in 13 villages of Dehshikh-Cigar commercial area in Lamerd city. Using Cochranchr('39')s formula with 0.6 error level, 235 households were estimated as sample households and were randomly surveyed. To analyze the data, software, Shannon entropy, Mabac, Arc GIS and single-sample T-test and linear regression were used in SPSS software. The research findings confirm that, in all research variables (economic 57.3, social 3.50, physical 3.34, institutional-managerial 3.14 and environmental 3.13) The impact of commercial tourism on the sustainable development of rural settlements in the Dehshikh-Cigar commercial area, Lamerd city, is higher than the theoretical average (3). The results of the Mabac technique showed that the level of development of the studied villages with the emphasis on commercial tourism in the villages of Cigar, Dehshikh and Karehmoochi has the most impact, In the villages of Chah Sheikh, Chah Nodeh Sheikh, Firoozabad and Jari, it has a moderate performance and in other villages it has a poor performance. Also, the results of multiple regression test showed that commercial tourism index with R value (0.959) has the greatest impact on the sustainable development of rural settlements in the Dehshikh-Cigar commercial area, Lamerd city. Finally, using R2 coefficient, it was found that the level of development of the studied villages with emphasis on commercial tourism in Dolatabad, Hassan Kamali, Firoozabad, Kakli villages with R2 value (0.992, 0.988, 0.986 and 0.983) It has the highest impact and has poor performance in the villages of Dehshikh and Cigarette with R2 coefficient (0.865 and 0.925).
